This isn’t just “another” version: it’s your gateway from any device
Today I’m switching up the format because I’ve been itching to share this: ProRealTime has launched its web version.
And I’m not just talking about “viewing” charts in the browser; I’m talking about trading with my real account and, on top of that, with free real-time data
if you connect the platform to Interactive Brokers or Saxo Bank. For those of us who work, travel or simply
want the freedom to switch devices, this is a game changer: you open your browser, connect and you’re done.
I log in with my account and, with a single click, I have European and U.S. stocks in real time (Cboe feed),
plus the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices updated to the second. And yes, I’ll say it again: free for connected trading clients.
Connecting your IB account to ProRealTime: no new accounts, no detours
Until now, if you had Interactive Brokers and wanted to trade with ProRealTime, you usually had to open an additional account.
That’s over: you can now link your existing account directly and trade with ProRealTime using your same setup.
You complete the basic registration on their site, authorize the connection… and off you go. Less friction, more time trading.
If you’re starting from scratch, in my case I use and recommend ProRealTime
for its execution reliability and for how clear it makes the order flow when you connect with IB or Saxo.
Genuinely useful: orders from the chart and OCO brackets “that save your schedule”
The first is placing orders directly from the chart, completely naturally.
If you follow me, you already know I’m a big fan of working visually: I mark the entry, I drag the stop loss and the take profit,
and I see the price level, the risk and the potential right there on the screen. Three clicks. No clunky tickets to open, no typing prices by hand.
The second is being able to leave OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) orders set —stop and target at the same time—,
something that with some brokers is still a pain. For anyone who records videos, works or simply doesn’t want to live glued to their phone,
this gives you back hours of peace of mind: the trade is locked in and you get on with your life.
How I use it: from chart to order with clear confirmation
I open the underlying in ProRealTime Web,
load my workspaces and, when I spot the setup, I place the order on the chart.
I adjust levels with the mouse, review the summary (quantity, limit price, OCO enabled) and send.
If I need to fine-tune in the options chain, I jump to it, compare the bid/ask, and I’m back on the chart in seconds.
The best part: it’s all in the browser, without sacrificing the “pro” experience.
Why this version won me over
This isn’t a “stripped-down” version: it’s my trading desk in the browser.
European and U.S. real-time data, a direct connection to my broker, orders from the chart and OCO brackets
done right. For a serious workflow, this is the difference between “watching” the market and being able to trade it
with the same precision as always.
If you open a real account, I’ll send my book to the first 5
I want to thank the community for its support: if you open a connected trading account
through my ProRealTime referral link,
I’ll send you a physical copy of my book as a thank-you. I’ve left the link above so you have it handy.
